Privacy Policy
Your privacy is fundamental to everything we build
Our Commitment
Skyscape is built on the principle of data ownership and transparency. When you self-host, you have complete control. With our managed service, you choose which integrations to enable (like GitHub sync or AI providers) and maintain visibility over your data.
Self-Hosted Version
The self-hosted version of Skyscape:
- Operates independently by default
- Allows optional integrations you explicitly enable
- GitHub sync and AI providers are opt-in features
- Keeps all data on your servers
- Is 100% under your control
Hosted Version
For our hosted service, we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:
- Account information (name, email) for authentication
- Billing information processed securely through Stripe
- Usage metrics for capacity planning (storage, compute)
- Error logs for debugging (no code or repository content)
What We Never Collect
- Your source code
- Repository contents
- Commit messages or history
- Development activity or patterns
- Third-party service credentials
Data Security
All hosted workspaces are:
- Isolated in individual Docker containers
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- Backed up daily with encrypted backups
- Protected by industry-standard security practices
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Export all your data at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Migrate from hosted to self-hosted
- Request information about data we hold
Open Source Transparency
Our commitment to privacy is backed by transparency. The entire Skyscape codebase is open source and MIT licensed. You can audit our code to verify our privacy practices.
